Networking in Coworking Spaces: Events, Mentors and Meeting People

Professional networking in coworking spaces happens through community events, startup and mentorship programs and everyday conversations in the pantry – it works best when you go regularly and say what you do.

Mentorship and startup programs

Some spaces run or host incubation programs, including university and government innovation hubs (some regional "iHub" spaces are run with the DOST). Ask about office hours with mentors, demo days and partner discounts before signing up.

How to meet people without being pushy

  1. Go on the same days each week.
  2. Introduce yourself to the community manager – they connect people.
  3. Join one event a month.
  4. Offer help before asking for it.
